Curaleaf opened its newest Florida dispensary in Edgewater on July 17, its 74th store in the state and 166th nationwide. The shelf at launch leans on the company's own house brands — Reef flower, Anthem pre-rolls, Dark Heart's ultra-premium flower, and Grassroots — alongside the debut of Select's new Briq 2 vape.
The Briq 2 is a 2-gram all-in-one built around what Curaleaf calls Flavor Protection Technology, aimed at the common complaint with big-format vapes: the first few pulls taste like the strain, and the rest tastes like plastic and burnt oil. Whether it actually solves that is a wait-and-see, but it's a real bet on format, not just a bigger tank.
CEO Boris Jordan framed the opening as filling access gaps in Florida's medical market, which the company says still reaches only about 4% of the state's population — a reminder that even with 74 locations, Florida's medical-only structure leaves a lot of headroom an adult-use market wouldn't.
Grand-opening promos run July 24–25 with giveaways and a ribbon cutting, standard MSO playbook. The product to actually watch is the Briq 2 — if Curaleaf likes the sell-through, expect it well beyond one Edgewater store.
