Curaleaf International's Que Medical Inhalation Device was registered with Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration as a Class IIb medical device on September 15, the first liquid cannabis extract inhalation device approved there. New Zealand followed on September 17.
It is a reusable handheld device that aerosolizes liquid medicine when the patient inhales, designed for compatible cartridges. Curaleaf developed it with Jupiter Research LLC, and it was previously certified as a Class IIa device in the EU in May 2025. It is now available in seven countries.
This is not a US launch, and nothing here changes what is on US dispensary shelves. It does show where the company is putting regulated delivery hardware, in medical markets with clear device pathways.
US shoppers should read it as a sign of where vaporizer design may head, but it will take a federal framework to bring anything similar stateside.
