The Toad Map: every dispensary with Toad Venom in stock, mapped

Today's companion piece covers the market data: "Toad" and "Toad Venom" turned up on menus at 742 dispensaries across the 14 states we track, split between two overlapping names. This is the deeper cut — where the genetic actually came from, and a live map of every shop we can confirm has it in stock.

The cross was bred by Ronin Seeds, a Los Angeles breeder, crossing Animal Face (Seed Junky Genetics) with Sin Mintz (Sin Mint Cookies × Zkittlez). Green Dragon — the North Hollywood nursery, farm, and shop that's operated since 2007 — popped all 30 seeds from that cross in 2021 and selected a single standout plant, known internally as "Becky" before the Toad Venom name took hold. Green Dragon now grows roughly 750 pounds of it every three months, moving most of that through the Oakland-based distributor KSS Distribution into about 100 California dispensaries — a large part of why California alone accounts for more than 200 of the pins on this map.

From there it spread the way strong genetics usually do in this industry: through clones, not contracts. Dozens of cultivators with no formal relationship to Green Dragon or Ronin Seeds are now growing the same cut, among them Pro Gro in Michigan, Crystal Clear and CAM in California, Seed Junky, Panda in Oklahoma, Select on the East Coast, and TYSON 2.0 — Mike Tyson's brand, concentrated in Arizona, Washington, Ohio, New York, and Michigan. Most list it as Toad Venom; TYSON 2.0 shortens it to "Toad," the same phenotype under a nod to the 5-MeO-DMT toad venom Tyson has discussed publicly for years.

The map below is a snapshot, not a live feed — dispensary stock turns over daily, and a pin that's green today can be sold out tomorrow. We'll keep it updated and run this as a recurring feature, with each future installment tracking a different strain, brand, or product breaking out nationally, backed by the same retailer-level data.
