Dark Star

TH Seeds is credited with Dark Star, a heavily indica-leaning hybrid with Afghan hash-plant roots. It is generally described as Purple Kush crossed with Mazar-i-Sharif, although our record lists a longer set: Afghan Skunk, Hindu Kush, Purple Afghani, Purple Kush, Skunk #1 and Mazar I Sharif. In our data it is an indica with a single THC reading of 13%, which is low and, as with other older lines, may be well under what modern batches test.

Caryophyllene leads at 0.50%, followed by limonene at 0.40%, myrcene at 0.37%, humulene at 0.19% and linalool at 0.16%. Flavor tags are fruity and spicy. Effect tags read hungry, sleepy, creative and calm, with dizzy, headache and nervous noted as side effects.

Purple Kush is said to contribute color and a grape-like sweetness, while Mazar adds earthy resin and rugged structure. It is a night-time strain by reputation, a hash-like, sedative option. The side-effect list is real, so go slowly, hydrate, and avoid it before anything that requires focus.
