About Haze

Santa Cruz in the 1960s is where Haze took root, and its lengthy flowering cycle suited the long growing season there. Since then it has become a parent of countless hybrids, passing along Colombian, Mexican, Thai and South Indian genetics. Our record lists it as sativa and has no THC figure, while the lab panel shows myrcene at 0.41%, pinene at 0.26%, caryophyllene at 0.26% and limonene at 0.20%.

Flavor tags read sweet, earthy and spicy, and the aroma is typically spicy with citrus and earthy sweetness. Effect tags are energetic, creative and talkative, with headache and nervousness listed as side effects. That makes it the archetype of a high-energy, head-forward strain, and it is usually used in the day.

Because Haze lines can feel racy, anyone prone to jitters or headaches should go slowly. Knowing Haze is also useful for decoding many other strain names, since so many popular cultivars descend from it. If you want to know where modern sativa-leaning hybrids get their sparkle, this is the original reference point.
